Paris Interior Design Trade Fair

It was wonderful to be able to visit the Paris “Maison & Objet” Trade Fair this year.

A 2 day extravaganza  of new design inspiration to  reset  and invigorate our Design sensibilities.

After over a year of closure due to covid travel restrictions, it was a relief to see new and established manufacturers demonstrating their new ranges. All flexing their Design muscles to draw us in to their individual stands.

It’s an invaluable experience to be able to try out, test and feel the quality of products I will be using on future projects.  This is trade only fair encompassing all the design disciplines. We pride ourselves on offering our clients a unique interior specified for their individual needs and lifestyle.

In this Journal Page I’ve selected the best of the exhibition stands as it’s useful to see their pieces in context. Their layering of the elements and the surprisingly large scale of the pieces used to create impact in their individual room sets.

I hope you enjoy the highlights from the Paris Fair, there are 2 post showing the  High lights on the links below

This was my favourite room set at this years Fair.

Dramatic, Unexpected, Wonderful

A classical arrangement of plinths . This is a simple styling method to use  in narrow areas —such as a Hallway or Landing

Informal styling, useful to reference over a kitchen island

There is an elegance in this room set.

There’s a warming up of earth tones mixed with creams . Note the boucle upholstery   fabric—it’s warm, inviting and practical, perfect in a Kitchen, Dining Family setting

Where has all the grey gone ?

No sign of grey woods here…

The calmness and serenity in this hand crafted sculpture would be a welcome addition to a sideboard or console.

Can there ever be too much choice? …  This is my favourite part of the design process, curating the finishes to use in each room.

The answers by the way is no, not in my book.

This manufacturer is a lighting expert . Beautiful quality.

There is a sumptuousness in the blue velvet upholstery and the luxurious wallpaper panel. A very inviting room set.

Useful large scale Dining table paired with the open back feature of the chairs

Elegant white and cream colours with hints of gold
